Agriculture for Life donation - a hit with the Foods Class!

When the aromas of the Foods Class fill the halls it's hard not to poke your head in and try to get a sample. The high school Foods class baked maple cinnamon oat bars and wow did they smell wonderful!  Earlier this month our school was awarded with a $350 donation towards the purchase of oat based products. We challenged Miss Vacey to include this in her cooking class modules and the results were amazing! These bars were put into our breakfast program so students can get a healthy breakfast before class.

Thanks to the generosity of Agriculture for Life for their donation and to Mrs. Ashley Willert for spearheading the funding application for us. This gave kids the chance to learn how to cook with oat based products to create a healthy snack.
